'It seems Fluffy was shunned by the other cats after she was caught sleeping in the dog's bed... with the dog! Other cats report that she also has been seen nuzzling with the dog as well.
The cat community is utterly shocked by this behavior as Fluffy has been a part of this group for 3 years now.
One cat said, 'If we had known she was a dog lover, she would never have been allowed in.'
Another had this to say, 'I had my suspicions about Fluffy for awhile now. I don't agree with the shunning. I don't have any problems with the dog myself. I just wish she had come out of the closet on her own. But there IS a really nice napping place in there. I don't blame her for staying in there as long as she could. Now that she's out, I think I'll go in there. Who cares what the other cats think?!'
Fluffy is handling this ill treatment very well. An anonymous "friend" said Fluffy has been welcomed openly into the dog community as the dogs' statement of disdain for the cats' actions.
Nobody knew this sort of thing was going on at the farm. It's been a dirty secret that's been hidden too long. One can only hope that eventually, because of Fluffy's experience and the dogs' actions, that there will someday be peace between these two communities.
I for one have a lot to think about after this report.
